Musings of a Model (In Tokyo)

I’m an American 50’s car mechanic playing Squash.

I’ve been lucky enough to shoot for some really great Japanese magazine’s during my stay in Tokyo.

Here’s a run-down of a just a few of them….

HUGE MAGAZINE:

The theme of the shoot was American 50’s car mechanics.

The other models they used were all from street castings to provide an authentic all-American car mechanic look- hence my pyjama and top hat clad friend in the picture above, even though he was actually Spanish.

The shoot took place in an American Themed parking garage in Yokohama (which is roughly 40 minutes drive from Tokyo)

Photographer for the shoot was Hidemi Ogata.

You can find Hidemi Ogatas website here: http://diamondcat.net

HUGE MAGAZINE NEXT ISSUE WITH THIS EDITORIAL OUT 24th APRIL 2010.

POP-EYE MAGAZINE:

Theme was academic squash players.

Strangely enough the location of the shoot was at a squash court in Tokyo.

The other model of the shoot was my very good old friend Tom Nicon.
